I recommend first disconnecting the trailer from your tow vehicle and looking at the vehicle side connector. You can then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the functions at the connector, specifically the right turn/brake. If you are not receiving any power at the connector, it is possible that there is a blown fuse or the fuse is simply missing from the distribution box under the hood. If you find this to be the case, simply replace the damaged or missing fuse and this should resolve the issue.
I also recommend just checking to make sure there is no corrosion or dirt trapped inside the connector that could be preventing a secure connection with the trailer.
If all of that checks out fine, the next possible cause is a bad ground connection. Check to make sure all your ground connections are made to bare metal surfaces that are free of debris.
If you are still not able to get the right signal light working on your trailer, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further. I have also attached an article on wiring troubleshooting that you may find helpful.
