Compatibility of Door Locking Latch on a Keystone Travel Trailer

Question:

We are looking for the correct lock to replace both door locks on our travel trailer as both locks are not working properly. I ordered a set online but they are smaller than the sized opening on the camper which I hate because they were better quality locks. Can you tell me what I need. Looking at pictures, the locks look like theyd work but the size seems to be always the standard size which is slightly smaller than the opening in the door.

We carry only a few entry door locking latch kit, like # 295-000019, and all have the same basic measurements which is the standard size on most RV door.

The door locking latches measure 3-15/32 inches wide x 4-9/32 inches tall. What that means is that this will fit doors that are 1-1/4 inches to 1-1/2 inches thick and it's designed to install into latch cutouts that are 2-1/2 inches wide x 3-1/3 inches tall to 3 inches wide x 4 inches tall.

Measuring your old latch and cutout will allow you to see if this lock can be used on your trailer.
