The Thule Roof Top Basket Cargo Carrier Extension, # TH8591XT, is an add on to the Thule Canyon XT Roof Top Basket Cargo Carrier, # TH859XT. If your 2008 Hummer H3 has a factory roof rack and you have the Canyon XT Roof Top Basket, the extension will work on your vehicle. If you do not have a cargo basket yet, you can purchase the Canyon XT cargo basket with the extension with part # TH859XT-8591XT.
I also recommend consulting the vehicle owners manual to determine the weight capacity of the roof.
