Trailer Tire Recommendation for Replacing P215/75-14

Updated 04/14/2017 | Published 04/13/2017

Question:

I have a 4foot X 8foot X 2foot high trailer, single axle. The tires on it now are P215/75R14, Cooper Trendsetter SE steel belted radials. I haul oak firewood at 65 MPH. per twenty mile trips. What would be a good replacement tire?

You really need to go with an ST rated tire which we can help you with. The P rated tires are only to be used on passenger vehicles and not on trailers.

We have ST215/75-14 tires that would work well for you. For that the best option is the radial Taskmaster # TTWTR21514 which has a weight rating of 1,870-lb max load at 50 psi and a speed rating of 81 mph. Most trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph so the extra speed rating is nice. I attached a review video for this as well.
