Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2017 Subaru Legacy for Use with 1-1/4 Inch Bike Rack
Published 04/13/2017 >
Question:
I will be buying a 2017 Subaru Legacy soon. I had the car hitch installed and I put the Draw Tite bike rack on my 2007 Toyota Camry many years ago. Does Draw Tite or some other hitch work for the Legacy so that I can put the rack into the opening or just what kind of bike rack will fit just what kind of bike rack?

Since all of the trailer hitches that were available for the 2007 Camry were Class II hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers your bike rack is likely made to fit a 1-1/4 inch receiver. So to use that same bike rack you can get a Class II hitch for your 2017 Subaru Legacy. The Class II Draw-Tite hitch that fits is # 36493. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of this hitch for you.
