Question:

Purchased a Yakima Holdup 2 Bike Hitch Rack which manufacturer do you recommend using Curt or another? Any ideas on how much for both the rack and installation?

Your 2010 Honda Civic has two hitches that are confirmed to fit; EcoHitch # 306-X7233 and Curt # C11391. The Yakima Holdup # Y02445 is for 1-1/4 inch Hitches but is designed to fit a Class II hitch and not a Class I. Class I hitches generally have a weld stop inside the receiver tube to prevent the use of Class II accessories which can sometimes exceed the weight capacity. You could use the Curt with your HoldUp because they do not use that weld stop in the Class I hitch receivers so you're HoldUp will fit. Curt's warranty, however, does require the use of a support strap # 18050 when using bike racks.

The EcoHitch # Y02445 would require a different bike rack since it has a 2" receiver opening instead of the 1-1/4" that you need.
