Question:
I was going to get a Meyer Home Plow. Weight is about 250lb. Can I just buy and mount your front hitch or do I need to modify suspension? I have added some pics of friends V6. Very clean execution how he installed and custom trimmed his air dam. Thanks

I think you will find that with a plow on the front of your 2016 GMC Canyon adding helper springs in the front will be a great, if not necessary, addition to your set up. Considering the weight of the plow will be out in front of the vehicle where it can apply more leverage to the suspension adding helper springs will prevent bottoming out and help keep the front suspension from wearing out prematurely.
So with front mount receiver # 65071 or # C31074 installed and a plow attached we can look at front helper springs. For your application I recommend Timbren springs # TABSGMFCC. These springs replace the bump stops on your Canyon. They are large and more stout so they will prevent front end sag and will offer better support when using the plow. Plus they have a lifetime warranty. Tough to beat that!
