Will the Thule T2 Bike Rack Clear the Rear Bumper on a 2013 Toyota Venza with Rack Folded Up

Question:

When I fold up the Thule T2 bike rack on my wifes Toyota sienna minivan with the Curt trailer hitch I purchased from the trailers.com, the tire holders rub up against the bumper. If I install the same Curt hitch on my van so, will it do the same?

With Curt trailer hitch # 13356 installed on a 2013 Toyota Venza we have found that the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to clear the rear bumper is 3-1/2 inches, see linked video showing installation.

On the Thule T2 for 2 inch trailer hitches 916, 916XT, 916XTR, or TH9044-TH9046 the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack is 4-1/2 inches. So provided you have one of the T2 models listed you will have 1 inch of clearance between the rack and the bumper of your 2013 Toyota Venza.

The newer models # TH9045 would have plenty of clearance. The Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH69TX or # TH83JV would have about 1-1/2 inches of clearance between the rack and bumper on your 2013 Toyota Venza.
