How do you change the batteries. I dont want to break it prying it apart.

I went to the warehouse and pulled one of the Remote for Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System, part # AL72704.
I have attached a photo of the remote you can check out. On each side of the remote in the areas with the red arrows, there is a small tab on the black plastic part of the remote. You will need a very thin screwdriver to press that and it should release the top and let you replace the battery.
