Installing BCDC Battery Charger And Maintenance Charger On Second Battery

Question:
I noticed in the CTEK 250 instruction manual that it has the PASSTHROUGH when connecting a charger for mains power. Can I connect a Battery charger to the Second battery and have the BCDC in line or do I really have to have the passthrough. No where i can find if i can use a mains battery charger with just the charger dual alone thanks

You can use a maintenance charger like # CTEK56353 or similar when using the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D. The Redarc charger is designed to keep your battery at 100% capacity for about 10 days, after that a maintenance charger would be necessary. I do not recommend putting an independent maintenance charger on the second battery during this 10 days, as it could cause overcharging or overheating if you do not use the pass through.
