Question:
Hi! Aside from a brake controller, what else is required for installing the proper wiring for a 2016 Toyota 4runner to tow a pop up camper with electric brakes? I didnt see anything under wiring for my vehicle. Thanks in advance!

Your 2016 Toyota 4Runner has a factory 7-way harness to control the trailer lights currently. All you need is to install a brake controller and you will be able to control the lighting and the brakes.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
For the install harness all you need is the part # 3041-P.

Hi, I have a 4 Runner with off road 4x4 and tow package. Getting a small travel trailer (15') that has electric brakes. Do I need to add any parts to my truck?
