Question:

I see on your web site that you confirm that the Curt 11184 will install on a 2013 BMW 128i convertible. Will it fit the 2012 BMW 128i convertible?

Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11184, is a confirmed fit for your 2012 BMW 128i Convertible. There is no drilling required but you will need to do some underbody trimming and you will need to temporarily lower the exhaust and remove your rear bumper for the installation.

If you are planning on towing I recommend using the Curt Class II Drawbar, part # C45521, along with the Curt Hitch Ball, part # A-82, but you will want to do some measuring first to make sure that it is the proper rise or drop for your application. I have attached a link to a helpful article that shows how to find those measurements.

If you are planning on using the hitch for a non-trailer application, then Curt requires the use of a Support Strap, like part # 18050, per the warranty on the hitch.
