In order for the CURT Cargo Basket, # C18115-117, to fit your 2012 Nissan Xterra factory crossbars, they would have to be under 3 inches wide and have a crossbar spread, center to center, of 15, 22 or 29 inches. Curt did not test fit this basket on your rack.
For a basket that was test fit and confirmed as a fit we have the Thule Canyon XT part # TH859XT-8591XT which would work well.
