I am wondering about a round tube 1 1/4inch receiver. It looks square. I want to hook up a Kuat bike rack that says it needs a 1 1/4inch receiver but it looks square to me. Can you explain.

Hitches can have either a round crosstube or a square crosstube, the horizontal part that you see from the rear of the vehicle. The difference is purely cosmetic; some customers find a round tube hitch tends to look nicer on certain vehicles. But the actual receiver opening that will accept the shank of a bike rack or a towing ball mount is always square.
The 1-1/4-inch hitch we offer for your 2016 Lexus NX 200t, the Class II Curt # C12143, happens to have a round crosstube, as do the other options shown on the linked page.
In this hitch you can use a 1-1/4-inch hitch bike rack, such as the Kuat Transfer 2 rack # KU74FR or one of the others shown on the linked page.
