Question:
I have Prodigy P-2 controller installed, do the two red dots showing power and boost stay on all the time? Worried about killing the battery.

The P2 brake controller # 90885 goes into a power saving mode after about 15 minutes of inactivity. While in power saving mode it draws only a few milliamps of power and at that rate the vehicle would have to sit for months for it to drain the battery.
If the brake controller does not go into power saving mode then it is sensing something such as a short and could stay on all the time. The most likely culprit to cause this is corrosion in or on the trailer connector.
