can this hold an 11 footer sup?

Rhino-Rack SG Roof Rack # RRSG60 for rain gutters has a capacity of 88 pounds so provided that your 11 foot paddleboard is under 88 pounds then it can support the board.

However, this roof rack has a narrow bar spread of 19 inches from the center of one bar to the center of the other bar meaning you would need to make certain that the board is tied down at the bow and stern and placed so that the weight is evenly distributed to both bars. Also since the crossbars are basically positioned at the front of the roof above the door of a Jeep Wrangler a lot of board would overhang the windshield where it will catch a lot of wind.

It isn't an ideal set up for carrying a SUP safely but we do have a solution that will work. For it you would need the following parts:

Drilling is required for this installation but it will offer a much wider bar spread because of the tracks meaning that the board will be supported better and safely and it would not have to overhang the windshield as much.

To protect the board you can wrap the crossbars in crossbar pads such as # TH845000.
