Using Pontoon Guides For Flat Bottom Jon Boat Trailer Application
Updated 12/27/2016 | Published 12/26/2016 >
Question:
Can these pontoon guides be used for a 12 ft. flat bottomed jon boat? Instead of being positioned inside of the trailer frame, can they be positioned outside the frame to extend beyond the boat sides. I just need the shorter posts instead of the 40 inch posts on another guide that you offer for regular boats.

Yes. The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers - 22" Tall - 1 Pair, # CE27670, can be used for a flat bottomed jon boat. The Guide-Ons can be positioned on the outside of the frame like you mentioned in the way the taller posts often are on fishing or ski boats.
