Question:

I plan to buy the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4inch Drop/Rise so that I can tow my utility trailer and use the rise hitch for a manual winch. Most likely the winch will be on a post. Can the roadmaster be used for this purpose

We do have a dual hitch adapter that may work for you, but the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-4 is not designed to be used for towing a trailer. It's designed to carry a bike rack or cargo carrier while flat towing a vehicle.

The Curt Dual Receiver # D-192 can be used for towing using the bottom receiver opening. Top receiver would be used for you winch. Also, you should know that using a hitch adapter, such as this, will reduce your capacity by 50 percent.
