Question:
have a 2013 chev Pickup truck with a factory brake controller. when I got the trailer wired with the Dexter pump and hooked up to the truck. the brake controller did not recognize the pump. have found out the chev and ford trucks need module for the trucks to see the pump. any idea on what module I might need?

Per Dexter, their electric over hydraulic actuator should be compatible with the OEM brake controller in your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, but we have found that is not always true. We found the GM OEM controllers will not work with some EOH controllers, which may include yours.
If your brake controller has a setting for electric-over-hydraulic brakes it may not be turned on. If not you may want to consider replacing the factory brake controller with an aftermarket controller like the Tekonsha P2, part # 90885. This is our most popular brake controller because it is easy to install and operate.
I have attached a helpful article that explains how to install an aftermarket brake controller on a 2007 through 2013 Silverado with the integrated brake controller.
