Will Force of Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Assist Damage the Tailgate on 2005 Toyota Tundra

Question:

When installed: is it under some torsion when tailgate is closed, so it does not rattle? Is it pushing against the outside body panel? will this eventually pop the paint or make an out dent? Thanks

The tailgate lift assist # 74211 for your 2005 Toyota Tundra is going to be applying some force on the inner part of the tailgate but the force is not so great that it would dent or chip paint from the tailgate. We have not had any complaints about that or similar issue so no worries!
