Can Yakima Skybox 12 and 32 inch Wide Sail Board Fit on 60 inch Crossbars

Question:

I would like to fit a Yakima Skybox 12 24 inches wide with a sailboard that is approximately 32 inches wide. Will this work on a 2011 BMW X5 fitted with 60 inch Thule AeroBlades? Or am I better off with 65-inch square ones? Thanks!

If you have 60 inch Thule Aeroblade bars on your 2011 BMW X5 the Yakima SkyBox 12 # Y07334 would fit with your 32 inch wide sail board.

The widths of both things you plan to carry is 56 inches and since accessories can overhang slightly on crossbars you would have more than enough room with a 60 inch crossbar.

Be sure to check roof capacity of the vehicle and be sure not to exceed that.
