Does the Timbren Spring Kit # TGMRCK25 Fit a 1996 GMC 1500 Truck
Updated 10/03/2016 | Published 10/02/2016 >
Question:
Can I make this kit fit a 1500 2wd? I just changed my rearend. I installed a rear from a 2500 LD 4wd. Its a 9.5 14 bolt. Will this affect anything?

From an install point of view the part # TGMRCK25 will still install just fine since the spring attaches to the frame of the truck and not the axle. If the axle is larger or smaller in diameter it would change when the spring engages.
If it was bigger it would engage sooner or if it was smaller it would engage later.
