How long is power cord on evenbrake and if its to short can I put a extension on it and what size wire is recommended

The length of the power cord for the Roadmaster Even Brake part # RM-9400 is 42 inches. The power cord plugs into a cigarette lighter type socket and draws a max of 10.8 amps. The cable would need to be an extension using connectors like that and capable of handling 11 amps.
