I checked with Lippert about what they recommend when installing an entry door. They state that you will need to use Butyl Tape or closed cell PVC foam tape.
For a laminate wall: 1" wide, maximum 1/8" thickness.
For a stick and tin wall: 1" wide, 1/4" maximum thickness.
