Recommended Roof Rack And Wind Fairing For 2008 Volvo C30

Question:

Hi, I have a 2008 volvo c30 and I wanted to put a roof rack on it. Will this limit my ability to open the sunroof or use its tilt function? If I put a cargo basket on top of my roof rack, would it limit it then? Thanks

for your 2008 C30 I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack. This is one of the quietest roof racks on the market because of the rubber Vortex rubber insert in the track on the crossbar. For this roof rack you will need part # RRVA126B-2, part # RRRDM01, part # RRRLKVA, and part # DK452.

It is best to keep the sun roof closed when the roof rack is installed whether it is empty or loaded. Even though every effort is made to make this roof rack quiet, the wind hitting the crossbars will create noise and if the sunroof is tilted could interfere with the sunroof operation.

To quieten the roof rack even more you make want to check out the Rhino-Rack Fairing for Roof Racks, part # RRRF3.This fairing is 44 inches long and designed to deflect the air so that it flows above the crossbars.
