Question:
I cant seem to find a class 1 hitch receiver on your site. I have a 2014 Dodge Journey 4 cylinder so I assume class 1 is what I need with a max towing weight of 1000 lb. Do you Have?????!!

The trailer hitch we offer for your 2014 Journey with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C12134. We do not offer a Class l trailer hitch for your vehicle. We have Class ll and Class lll trailer hitches.
This hitch is a Class ll hitch but as you mentioned you need a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, so this would be the hitch you want. A Class ll hitch does give you more options for hitch mounted accessories than a Class l hitch offers.
A Note from Curt states all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.
If you plan on towing I recommend a ball mount like part # C45521. This has a rise of 2-5/8 inch and a drop of 3-1/4 inches. For a hitch pin and clip I recommend part # F-4.
For a 2-inch hitch ball I recommend part # A-82, and for a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend part # A-80.
If you need trailer wiring and you have LED lights on your Journey I recommend part # 118536. If you have incandescent lights on your vehicle I recommend part # 118567.
