Helpful Expert Reply:
Good news, the base plates that fit your 2009 Kia Spectra LX are # 2109-1.
The even better news is that you will not need an adapter to have your Falcon 5250 mate with this base plate kit.
Some additional products you may need to consider when flat towing are:
Safety Cables: # RM-643
Wiring and Umbilical: # RM-15247
Braking System: # SM99251
High/Low adapter: See attached link for proper height in selecting adapter
It's important to note that: Vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles should not exceed 45 km/h (28 mph) and should not be towed more than 80 km (50 miles). Vehicle equipped with manual transmissions should not be towed in excess of 88 km/h (55 mph) and should not be towed more than 645 km (400 miles). You will want to consult your owner's manual for any other important recreational towing restrictions.
I have linked all the above mentioned products as well as some Help Articles on flat towing to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
