Would Wind Remove Spare Tire Cover on a Trailer Spare
Published 08/16/2016 >
Question:
my application is an open car trailer where the spare is mounted on the right rear side. At 65mph the cover will be in a lot of turbulent wind. Since it is elastic and not drawstring, Im concerned the wind could whip it off. Is there any sort of speed rating?

The spare tire cover part # CAM45346 is designed for a very tight fit to the wheel and tire it mounts to. Because of that the wind would not end up whipping it so hard that it would come off or get damaged.
I would recommend keeping your trailer under the speed limit and the speed rating for your tires. Most trailer are only rated for 65 mph so you would need to keep that in mind.
