Are Holes in Lid Of TorkLift Battery Box Designed For Ventilation
Updated 08/15/2016 | Published 08/12/2016 >
Question:
Howdy, I recently purchased the lockable battery box to hold my two 6V batteries. There are small plastic hole plus in the sliding top. I noticed a couple were missing. Should I be concerned about moisture getting in or are they there for ventilation? If so, I assume the box is not really waterproof or intended to be. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

The holes in the sliding lid on a TorkLift battery Box like part # TLA7708R are designed to let you run wiring and also designed for ventilation as you mentioned. These battery boxes are not waterproof.
I confirmed this with my contact at TorkLift.
