Question:
Hi there, i have been investigating towbars for my 2001 Toyota celica. I am in Australia but if you have something available then its something to take into consideration. I have a factory fitted TRD body kit on it and i was wanting to avoid cutting into the rear bar. Is this something your product can offer? do you have other photos? I will use the towbar to tow a motorbike trailer and possibly also a jet ski trailer. Is it a universal fit or are American towbars different to Australian tow bars? Cheers

It sounds like you plan to use the 2001 Toyota Celica to tow a trailer which would mean you need a trailer hitch. If you were towing the Celica with another vehicle, it would need base plates and a tow bar. We currently have one available trailer hitch for a 2001 Toyota Celica. Take a look at the Curt # C11289. I have included a link to the installation details below. The instructions are based on a stock vehicle and do not take into account your TRD body kit. More then likely, some modification will need to be done to the body kit to be able to install and use the trailer hitch.
This is a Class I trailer hitch with a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity and 200 pound tongue weight capacity. You will need to determine the gross trailer weight and tongue weight of the trailer or trailers you plan to tow to be sure the hitch and vehicle are capable of towing them. For all non-trailer loads such as bike racks or cargo carriers, you will need to use Curt Bike Rack Strap with Cambuckle, # 18050, per Curt warranty requirements.
The required ball mount for this hitch is # C45521 for use with ball # A-80 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # A-82 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, use Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit with 4 Pole End, # 119178KIT.
I have included a few demonstration videos, and installation videos for your reference.
