Question:
Hi, I just ordered part #ETBC7 for my 1998 Suburban. I noticed there is an install video for a 93 and a 99 Suburban. Is there one I should follow more closely for my 98? I noticed the 93 video just plugs existing 4 plug connector into new 7 connector set up while the 99 simply cuts it all off and splices everything together. Thanks in advance for your help.

The install of the # ETBC7 on your 1998 GMC Suburban would be exactly the same as the video for the 1999 model you mentioned since they are the same generation. I attached a link to that video as well.
You could run the 4-way in either way. I would just plug the 4-ways of the vehicle and the adapter in and then use a zip tie to secure it as that would be easier than hardwiring the connections. But in that regard it would be up to you.
