I need to know how to access the wiring on a 2012 VW Touareg to connect to the P3? Do you have a video or drawing? Thanks

It sounds like you do not have the factory installed 7-way on your 2012 Volkwagen Touareg. To install a brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 you will need a 4-way wiring harness installed and then to gain the proper brake controller functions you will need to adapt the 4-way to a 7-way.

The 4-way I recommend for your Touareg is # 118668. We do have an installation video of this being installed on your same vehicle. To adapt this to a 7-way, I recommend the # ETBC7, this kit will come with everything you need to make the proper connections to the P3 # 90195.

If your 2012 Touareg instead came with the factory installed 7-way, we have a great Help Article (see attached) that outlines the parts you will need to finish making the connections for the brake controller.

We have not had a chance to do a brake controller specific video of the 2012 Volkswagen Touareg. We are at the mercy of our customers who come in for installs to determine what year, makes, and models we are able to shoot videos for.
