Are the Rubber Strips of the Rhino Vortex rack RR37XR Designed to be Cut

Question:

There are 6 rubber strips that snap into the top of the bars, three for each bar. However three strips dont fit. Id have to cut some length off the third strip to get the length of the bar. Why is that? Thanks.

The rubber strips that come with the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack # RR37XR are designed to be cut as that allows you to install a channel mounted roof rack accessory on the rack and then use the appropriate length of rubber strip to fill the channel back in to reduce wind noise.

Most likely they just gave you sections that were too long as they have different length bars and likely just use the same filler strips for all of them.
