This unit comes with a check valve, but the description and video does not say where the valve is located - the gravity fill or the city water connection? Also, what is the purpose of the check valve? thank you

The Valterra RV Fresh-Water Inlet w/ Lockable Hatch - Brass Check Valve - Gravity Fill # A01-2000BKVP has the brass check valve integrated into the fresh water inlet. The purpose of a check valve is to give you a maximum water pressure from that point to the rest of your water system. So when you are hooked up to water at a campsite the water pressure may be too strong for most RV's without that valve. It ensures you don't get too much pressure at your faucet or fluctuating pressure causing a mess in your RV. This valve also has a mesh filter to keep debris out where the gravity fill for filling your RV water tank does not.
