Should Winch on Car Hauler Mount to Floor or Railing of Winch

On the roller where and how its mounted in front of winch, could the winch be mounted to the floor with a plate or do I have to mount it to the outside front frame.

If the plan is to use the winch part # SW1595200 to pull vehicles onto the trailer you would want the winch mounted up on the railing of your trailer preferable so that the cable doesn't drag over the end of the trailer.
The roller fairlead normally mounts to the end of a winch mounting plate like the part # C31010. It does not mount directly to the winch.
