Question:
I only want the mirror extensions on when towing. Can the extensions be removed/reinstalled easily with a secure fit each time for my 2000 Dodge 2500 Ram truck?

That's exactly what the Cipa # CM10500 Slip-On Towing Mirrors are designed for. They're designed to be easily be installed and removed as needed with a snug fit when they're reinstalled.
They can be left in place if need be, but most folks only install them when they're towing. As you can see by looking over the reviews, these mirrors are very highly rated by our customers.
