Question:
I would like to know the size of the 2 pins that hold the balls to the shank. These 2 pins should be locking pins with a key to unlock. If a saboteur pulls the clips out these pins will come out during transport and the trailer will detach. It also makes it easy for thieves to steal the balls.

We can take care of securing the Curt Adjustable 2-Ball Mount, part # C45902.
We have the # C23556 kit that includes a straight locking pin for the ball mount that will work on the # C45902. The additional pin included will only work with a 2-inch receiver and will not work with the 2-1/2 inch shank on the # C45902. I called my contact at Curt and they told me that this will be available in the future but is not available now.
We also offer locks that will work with a 2-1/2 inch receiver like part # TR63252. This would mean you would have 2 different keys and locks for your setup. But it would deter theft of the ball mount or the hitch balls.
