When installing a side Mount ladder rack like part # DZ95053 or part # EM07708 in your 2002 Dodge Ram you will have to do some modification to make sure it fits.
Per the installation notes with the # DZ95053 if your pick up has a bed liner, you may need to trim, drill, or cut the liner for proper and secure installation of the ladder rack.
I recommend the Erickson, part # EM07708. It has a telescoping arm that can be adjusted from 19 to 34 inches which comes in handy when carrying various width loads. This ladder rack has a 250-lb capacity while the # DZ95053 has a 200-lb capacity. I called Erickson about part # EM07708 and they told me that the installation would require the same modification as in the note with the # DZ95053.
