Can the Same Size Tire be Installed on a Trailer as a Spare if it has Different Pressure Rating
Published 05/26/2016 >
Question:
I had a blow out in San area miles from anywhere. Did not want to continue without spare. Only tire they had was some size ,different brand and was a max pressure 10 pounds80 psi less than my other tires. Can I safely run this tire? Thank you.

If the tire is the same size and has a weight rating high enough for the weight of your trailer it would work fine as a spare for the time being. It sounds like it may have a lighter Load Range due to the pressure rating difference.
Ideally you would put the exact same tire back on your trailer, but we realize that's not always possible like in your situation. I would just be a bit more cautious for the time being, but you should be just fine.
