Is Custom 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness 118424 Better than Curt Wiring Harness 56038 for an Acura MDX
Updated 08/25/2010 | Published 08/24/2010 >
Question:
Your website is directing me towards harness #118424, whereas my local installer is suggesting #56038. What is the difference and which is correct? Thanks much, Jeff

Both the Tow Ready wiring # 118424 and Curt wiring # C56038 are correct fits for the Acura MDX, but the # 118424 is a confirmed fit for more model years. The # 118424 will fit 2007 through 2010 MDX models, while the # C56038 is only confirmed to fit 2007 through 2008 models.
Both wiring harnesses plug in at the same factory port, as they are both custom fit for the vehicle, and both feature a powered converter to protect the MDX electrical system.
I have included links to an installation video and instructions for the # 118424, if needed.
