Fitment and Compatibility Dimensions for Mounting the CC-255 on an Aliner Classic Trailer Frame
Updated 04/29/2016 | Published 04/25/2016 >
Question:
I am needing to know if the CC-255 would work on my Aliner Classic a-frame camping trailer. It looks like I would not be able to mount the brackets by the side of the Propane tanks, as the 6inch wide base mount for the propane tanks are welded to the side of the a-frame, and the brackets would not be wide enough to go around the propane frame mount. There is only about 6inch of space from the propane tanks to the wall of the Aliner. Would this be enough space to mount the brackets? If so, how many inches in height before the vertical poles bend outward? The front of the wall of the Aliner bows out a few inches, and I am concerned if the poles would be too close to that area. It also looks like there would not be room to mount the cargo holder in front of the propane tanks, as it would interfere with the welded mount to the battery compartment.

I was able to go out to our warehouse and measure the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier # CC-255 to see if this will work for your Aliner Classic Trailer Frame.
The side brackets that mount to the A-frame are 4-3/4 inches wide and will fit trailer frame heights of 3-1/2 to 6-1/2 inches tall. The first bend of the upright bar happens at 9 inches, the bar then extends and raises for 11 inches from center of the post to center of the post and bends again at the height of 37 inches of height. I have attached an image for you to better see these measurements.
The adjustable brackets mounted to the top portion of the carrier allow for the center of the bars to be mounted within a 7 inches front to back.
The front mounting bracket is 13 inches long by 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. This too has an adjustment of about 4 inches from front to back of the access hole. The back of the access hole almost lines up with the last hole on the side plate they are about 1.33 inches apart.
I would compare these measurements to your Aliner Classic to see if this will be compatible for your frame and spacing. We do have some installation images of this carrier on a trailer frame very similar looking to your Aliner Classic.
I have linked the product to this page for your convenience.
