The Curt Trailer Hitch you came from is a Class ll hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
I recommend going with a Class lll hitch like part # C13167 on your 2016 Transit Connect. The # C13167 will give you much more flexibility when choosing any accessories for the hitch.
The Swagman hitch mounted bike rack I prefer is the Swagman Chinook, part # S64683. This bike rack has a 2-bike capacity and a weight capacity of 45-lbs per bike. A nice feature is it allows you to tilt the rack with the bikes loaded for rear cargo access. The rack comes with a hitch pin lock to deter theft of the rack and also comes with a lock to secure the bikes on the rack.
