Vertical Capacity of Curt C48550 Lunette Ring- Flat Plate Mount

Question:
What is the vertical capacity for this style of ring. The 42,000 lbs is the gross trailer weight correct? Currently I have the forged eye that mounts in the channel 3inch 24,000 lb but didnt realize how low the vertical capacity is.

The Curt # C48550 Lunette Ring has an 8400 lb vertical capacity when fastened with the included 5/8 inch bolts. The gross weight capacity is 35,000 lbs.
