Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Subaru Crosstrek that Does Not Require Exhaust Lowering

Question:

Looking at the hitches for a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. 4 Options probably going for the class 3, but noticed of the 4 one or two says exhaust must be temporarily lowered. Why wouldnt all of them require that? And just to confirm the Class 3 doe not say it does but does it? Thanks,

For your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek the Curt Class III part # C13135 has been confirmed as a fit and actually does not require any exhaust lowering for installation. I checked the install instructions (which are linked) and it is not required.

I also attached an install video.

When you combine that with the fact that this hitch has a 2 inch opening which means it will have higher capacities and more flexibility when picking out hitch accessories this hitch this would be the one to get.
