How much total travel do these air bags have on a kit for a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500?

The total operation travel of the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs, Rear Axle # AL59565 is about 7 inches. I spoke with my contact at Air Lift and she confirmed that the maximum compression of the airbag is 3.1 inches and the maximum extension is 10.25 inches, so the travel is 7.15 inches.

The airbag needs between 6-1/2 inches and 8-1/2 inches of space to be mounted.

My contact at Air Lift mentioned that if you plan on doing any off-roading, a limiting strap will help protect the airbags.
