Will Ultra-Fab Wheel Net Work with Maxey Tow Dolly for 2016 Toyota Camry

Updated 03/08/2016 | Published 03/06/2016

Question:

will these straps work with a Maxey tow dolly and a Toyota Camry combination? The straps connect with the u shaped hook like what you are showing - are they made for most tow dollys with this set up? What is the working weight limit of these straps? Thank you.

The Ultra-Fab Wheel Net # UF46-700034 that you referenced is a universal-type wheel net so the manufacturer doesn't list specific tow dollies compatible with the straps. You will want to take a look at your Maxey Tow Dolly and the size of the wheels on your 2016 Toyota Camry to determine if the # UF46-700034 wheel net will work for you.

If your Maxey Tow Dolly has a ratchet strap that will accommodate a 2 inch strap, the # UF46-700034 will work well with the dolly. The hooks on the wheel net will secure to the tow dolly on one side of the wheel, and the single loose strap will feed through the ratchet mechanism on the tow dolly to secure the other side of the wheel. I have attached a review video of the wheel net, as well as a photo of the net setting on a wheel for you.

If your tow dolly does not have a ratchet strap to connect the wheel net, you can use the Roadmaster Replacement Tie Down Ratchet # RM-2110 and the Erickson Replacement Strap for Ratchet Tie-Down # EM59314 to secure the wheel net to the tow dolly.

Another thing to consider is that the # UF46-700034 wheel net is designed to fit most tire sizes that will mount on wheels between 14 inches - 16 inches. Based on my research, the 2016 Camry has either a 16 inch, 17 inch, or 18 inch wheel. If your Camry has 16 inch wheels, the # UF46-700034 net will work well for you.

This type of strap doesn't have a rated working load limit, but the strap is rated for a 5,000 pound weight capacity. The weight capacity of the strap will work well for your Toyota Camry.
