I almost exclusively recommend the 10-bolt 5th wheel trailer hitch installation kits because they offer more connections with the truck frame and that is a good thing! Even with 4-bolt kits it is recommended to put 2 additional bolts, one in each rail, at the centers of the rails.
For a custom installation kit that will fit your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 I recommend # RP50066-58. The Reese rails will accept any hitch that fits in industry standard above the bed rails. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
