Will this socket work to install the ball on an Equalizer hitch head? I know it needs to be a thin walled socket.

The Powerbuilt 1-7/8 Inch 12pt Socket # ALL643216 that you referenced will fit in the Equal-I-zer weight distribution hitch, like # EQ37120ET, # EQ37140ET, # EQ37040ET, # EQ37060ET and # EQ37100ET, to torque down the hitch ball.
In the review video on the # ALL643216 socket, we found we were able to torque down the hitch ball in the Equal-I-zer hitch just fine with the socket.
