Question:
The 2011 Toyota Avalon manual says no towing, but you offer a trailer hitch for this car. Is there a problem? How much does the hitch reduce road clearance?

Expert Reply:
The hitch manufacturers we carry will produce hitches for vehicles if there is enough demand for them. It is then the responsibility of the customer to use the hitch in a way that would not void the vehicle warranty.
For your 2011 Toyota Avalon the Curt hitch part # C11427 has been confirmed as a fit. You could use it for carrying a bike rack or cargo carrier along with a stabilizer strap like # 18050. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
You will end up having around 11 inches from the bottom of the hitch to the ground when installed.
