I can help you determine if the Heininger HitchStep # HE4045 will fit your Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 Z71 Off Road Package 8ft bed.

Once the truck step # HE4045 is inserted into a trailer hitch the telescoping support arm will sit 1-5/8 inches below the hitch receiver opening and the support arm,when it is completely retracted under the vehicle, will extend under the vehicle 22-1/2 inches from the front of the hitch receiver. I have linked a picture of those measurements for your convenience.

If you take these measurements on your vehicle you will be able to determine if this step will interfere with your full sized spare tire when fully retracted.
